I hope this note finds you well. I am the Managing Editor of a a book project by Molly O'Neill. The book is a portrait of America at table that celebrates home cooks gathered into one comprehensive volume. For the past decade, Molly has been traveling the country collecting stories and recipes from folks of all ethnicities, geographies, ages, and communities. In essays, recipes and photographs, it tells the story of the nation's history, geography, ethnicity, culture, ambition and appetite and is, above all, a celebration of the glorious amateur. In almost every case, the folks represented are home cooks or very small biz owners—NOT professional chefs, authors, or journalists.
We are in the final stages of the book and are in last push for recipes that represent a wider ethnic and age reach. Of particular interest are multicultural folks, folks between ages 25-35 and people who live in the Midwest, west, southwest and central states.
I was hoping some of you might be willing send along possible interviewees or pass this note to anyone in your networks who might fit the bill. You can answer me directly at
